A pink bathroom is quite the talking point of any home it is placed in, and that is no exception for the following couple. This pretty pink bathroom was designed by 2LG Studio to go in their newly bought home. The 2LG Studio was created by Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead. The duo moved into a detached house located in south-east London which they were determined to renovate and showcase their design perspective.
The bathroom ‘needed to fulfil Jordan’s dream of the perfect relaxing bath and my dream of a big open shower room’ as Russel said in their blog. Previously, the two designers had been ‘living without a shower and only a rubber hose’ on their old bath. This new bathroom is quite an upgrade to what they had in the past.
They described the space as being ‘relatively small’ but still ‘managed to get what (they) both wanted without the compromise’.

One of the centrepieces of their bathroom is the Amiata bath by Victoria + Albert Baths which sits beneath a sash window. The body of the bath is made out of a volcanic limestone composite called Quarrycast. The hardware on the bath is made out of elegantly brushed nickel which they describe as being ‘right for this period of the house’ and it ‘fits beautifully with the other brass elements in the rest of our house’. This bath gives off an Italian feel with an 80’s vibe.
Another key point of the room is the shower which is placed in the middle of the wet room. This makes the shower feel big and spacious. The hardware of the shower matches the hardware of the bath which creates a neat and tidy look to the whole room. The shower has a detachable showerhead which is perfect for reaching hard to reach places as well as washing down the floor after use.
The bathroom walls are covered in Victorian pink quarry tiles from Tile Giant. These tiles are the perfect shade of pink which gives off a warm and neutral feel. The designers explain how ‘you might expect to see this type of tile in a traditional Victorian hallway or external pathway, but they work beautifully for an interior’.

Behind the large bespoke mirror, cut to mimic the curves of the bath, there is a storage cabinet with a built-in shaver point. The secret storage cabinet is the perfect place to store your toiletries and skincare! The mirrors are placed above the Amiata sink from Victoria + Albert Baths. The bath and sink being from the same range create a consistent and seamless feel to the room.
After renovating their bathroom, Jordan and Russell said ‘it was all worth it though and it feels like our favourite room in the house right now – such a luxury,’
